A Unique Stay in Istanbul’s Ancient Memory
Hodegon Suite takes its name from Hodegon Monastery, one of the important religious centers of the Byzantine period. Traces of the monastery’s historical walls can be seen on the lower floors of the hotel; descending to the lowest level leads to the interior space of this ancient structure.
According to tradition, the sacred water believed to bring healing to the eyes still flows beneath the monastery today. With special permission from the hotel, our guests can visit this historical area and witness Istanbul’s living history up close.
